The first footage showing retail Garmin Fenix 8 smartwatches has started appearing online. Not only do the leaks show Garmin's new smartwatches in multiple finishes, but they also confirm various hardware upgrades in the process.

Garmin is still remaining quiet about the prospect of replacing the Fenix 7 series. Nonetheless, various leaks in the last few days have showcased not just the Fenix 8, but also the Fenix E and a possible Enduro 3.

Now, photos and videos from several sources have revealed what appear to be final Fenix 8 smartwatches rather than prototype examples. Based on numerous Reddit posts, it appears Garmin has already sent retail units to third parties. Consequently, a global release looks imminent, presumably later this week.

Moreover, the footage shown below highlights a few of the upgrades that Garmin hopes will distinguish the Fenix 8 from the likes of the Fenix 7S (curr. $649.99 on Amazon). Specifically, Garmin has equipped the Fenix 8 series with slimmer bezels than older models, which should facilitate the inclusion of larger displays within the same overall form factor.

On top of that, Garmin has included AMOLED displays for the first time. Incidentally, official battery life estimates for this new display type and MIP equivalents have leaked online. Furthermore, Garmin appears to have overhauled its operating system's UI for the Fenix 8 while also including new features like voice commands and Bluetooth calling support with a paired smartphone. Please see the images and video throughout for further details.
