Gaming is getting even more expensive: Analogue Pocket gets gold limited edition

The Analogue Pocket is constantly sold out, even though the Nintendo Game Boy-style retro handheld isn’t exactly cheap, with a list price of $239.99. But instead of restocking the gaming handheld in its standard white or black colors, Analogue has now decided to release a limited edition in collaboration with Supreme.
This edition will be released as part of the Fall/Winter 2026 Supreme collection and is strictly limited. However, Supreme has not yet provided any details regarding the exact launch date or how many units of this limited edition will be produced. What is certain is that this version of the Analogue Pocket will be significantly more expensive than the standard version, with buyers having the choice between an aluminum unibody case with a glossy red finish or a gold-plated version. While Supreme has given the case a new finish, the technology remains unchanged.
The Analogue Pocket is based on an FPGA chip that can play Nintendo Game Boy cartridges natively – that is, without any emulation. This is intended to ensure a more authentic gaming experience than that offered by inexpensive retro handhelds such as the Anbernic RG35XX Pro ($73 on Amazon). Among other features, the operating system can manage save files and connect to Bluetooth gamepads. With 1,600 x 1,440 pixels, the display offers exactly ten times the resolution of the Nintendo Game Boy Color on each axis. More details on the specifications can be found on the official product page.
