GamersNexus normally investigates graphics cards and PC cases - however, it has recently turned its journalistic rigor on the popular browser extension Honey (which currently belongs to PayPal), and concurs with MegaLag on its alleged wrongdoings.
They include the appropriation of online referral and/or affiliate links, and of the potential concomitant revenue loss inflicted on the influencers to whom the potential sales in question actually belong.
Accordingly, the prominent hardware review company has brought a class action lawsuit in the Northern District of California against PayPal.
The new filing is separate from another that has also just been brought against Honey by the YouTuber LegalEagle (also known as the lawyer Devin Stone), although they have the same motive: to elicit restitution for those affected by the browser extension's behavior.
The class action is being conducted in partnership with the legal group CPM, which is currently inviting potential class member applications from content providers who have reason to believe that they have been materially affected by Honey's practices as outlined in the new lawsuit.
