2020 will be a bumper year for Samsung tablets. As SamMobile reported earlier this month, the South Korean company is developing two premium tablets. Said to be 11-inch and 12.4-inch models of the same series, GalaxyClub has now revealed more information about Samsung's plans to take on Apple's iPad Pro lineup.
According to the Dutch website, Samsung will release at least one 5G variant. Codenamed the SM-T976B, the Europe-bound model will feature a 12.4-inch display. GalaxyClub also claims that Samsung may release a 5G model in the US. 4G will be available for both display versions, too.
Additionally, Samsung has developed a dedicated S-Pen. Seemingly, the stylus will be included in the box as standard, just as Samsung does with the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite.
Separately, there has been talk of Samsung naming its upcoming tablets the Galaxy Tab S20 series, presumably to align them with its flagship smartphone naming scheme. However, GalaxyClub states that the 11-inch and 12.4-inch tablets are still internally referred to as the Tab S7 and Tab S7 Plus.
There are conflicting rumours about when Samsung will release the Tab S7 series, too. GSMArena expects the two tablets to arrive at the next Galaxy UNPACKED event, alongside the release of the Galaxy Note 20 series. However, GalaxyClub is of the opinion that the Tab S7 series will launch before the Note 20, potentially in early August.
