Gainbang K55 outdoor smartwatch has Bluetooth calling and reported blood pressure monitor
The Gainbang K55 smartwatch is now available worldwide via AliExpress. The wearable has been designed for the outdoors, with a rugged design, silicone strap and waterproof casing. The gadget has a large 1.85-in (~47 mm) IPS display with a 240 x 280 px resolution.
You can connect the K55 to your smartphone, as long as it runs Android 4.4 or iOS 8.0 and above, via Bluetooth 5.0, enabling features such as Bluetooth calling and message notifications. The product listing suggests that the watch has health features, including blood pressure, blood oxygen and heart rate monitoring; however, evidence of the accuracy of these tools is not provided. The device can recognise 15 types of motion, with over 20 sports modes to choose from when logging exercise; you can view data collected in the accompanying smartphone app.
The Gainbang wearable is equipped with a 350 mAh battery, providing up to 20 days of life in standby mode or 10 days with typical use. You can recharge the watch wirelessly, though it is unclear how long a full charge takes. You can currently buy the Gainbang K55 smartwatch via AliExpress for the discounted price of US$33.28; the wearable is expected to retail for US$67.91 in the future. The device ships from China, with delivery to the US scheduled for early October. You can purchase the watch in black, yellow and green.
