GMKtec NucBox M7 and M7 Pro with up to Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H, 96 GB of DDR5 memory, 4 TB SSD storage now available for pre-order, starting at just $469.99
GMKtec has introduced its latest AMD-based mini PC offerings targeted at the mid-range segment. Dubbed the NucBox M7 and M7 Pro, the M7 lineup aims to bring commendable gaming prowess courtesy of relatively beefy internals to mini PC aficionados.
The GMKtec NucBox M7 is powered by the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850H 'Rembrandt' CPU with 8 Zen 3+ cores and 16 threads. Its more powerful sibling, the NucBox M7 Pro is powered by the Ryzen 9 PRO 6950H CPU, also with 8 Zen 3+ cores and higher clock speeds. Both the systems can be fitted with up to 96 GB of DDR5-4800 memory, and up to 4 TB of PCIe 3.0 storage, thanks to dual M.2 2280 slots.
As can be expected from the compact form factor, both the GMKtec NucBox M7 and M7 Pro lack the luxury of dedicated graphics. The Radeon 680M iGPU onboard the Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 9 APUs will likely be performant enough for tasks that aren't particularly graphics intensive. Those who wish to benefit from added graphics grunt need not worry, as the included OCuLink port makes eGPU connections significantly faster than any Thunderbolt-based solution.
Connectivity options are plenty, including a healthy selection of USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, dual USB 3.0 Type-C ports, dual USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.0, dual 2.5 G RJ-45, and an audio combo jack. Wireless connectivity is taken care of by Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6.
As for pricing and availability, both the GMKtec NucBox M7 and NucBox M7 Pro are available for pre-order and deliveries are expected to commence soon. The NucBox M7 starts at $469.99 for the barebones version, and $539.99 for the 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage version.
The GMKtec NucBox M7 Pro on the other hand starts at $479.99 for the barebones version, while the 32 GB RAM + 1 TB storage version is priced at $619.99. GMKtec is offering a $150-$170 coupon that can be applied at checkout depending on the chosen variant, so potential customers are encouraged to take advantage of that.
