Ubisoft is marking the fifth anniversary of Ubisoft Connect, its cross-platform service connecting players, games, and progress across devices. To commemorate the milestone, the publisher is offering Immortals Fenyx Rising free to claim for a limited time.

Ubisoft is marking the fifth anniversary of Ubisoft Connect, its cross-platform service that links players, games, and progress across PC and consoles. To commemorate the occasion, the publisher is offering Immortals Fenyx Rising, which usually costs $39.99, free for PC users to claim and keep permanently via the Ubisoft Store or Ubisoft Connect client starting November 13.

Once claimed, the game will remain in your library indefinitely. Although Ubisoft hasn’t specified how long the game will remain free to play and claim, it is likely to be available for a limited time only. On Steam, Immortals Fenyx Rising currently holds a “Mostly Positive” overall rating based on 1,869 English reviews.

Another advantage of Immortals Fenyx Rising is its accessible PC requirements. Even some fairly old components, such as an AMD FX 6300 or Intel Core i5-2400 CPU, 8 GB RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 GPU, are enough to make the game playable on most modern systems.

Ubisoft hasn’t specifically confirmed this, but it will likely be the base edition of Immortals Fenyx Rising that becomes free to claim, rather than the Gold Edition, which is currently priced at $59.99 on Ubisoft Connect. The Gold Edition includes the base game, the Season Pass (with three story DLCs: A New God, Myths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods), and bonus in-game content such as the Hades the Shadowmaster Character Pack, Orion’s Blessed Weapons Pack, and Prism Wings.

Launched in 2019, Ubisoft Connect consolidated Ubisoft’s gaming services into a single cross-platform ecosystem. The platform later introduced cross-progression with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and cross-play support for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, expanding interoperability across Ubisoft titles and devices.

In 2024, Ubisoft introduced cross-platform achievements, debuting with Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This system now synchronises progress across Ubisoft Connect, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The company also redesigned its PC client with a cleaner, more intuitive user interface, which recently exited beta.

Ubisoft says Connect will continue to evolve with new features and smoother integration across platforms. The company is also inviting player feedback through its official Ubisoft Discord, signalling plans for more community-driven improvements in the future.
