Ubisoft has announced a massive overhaul for Rainbow Six Siege, dubbed Siege X, arriving June 10 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, and PC via Ubisoft Connect and Steam. This free update introduces major graphical enhancements, reworked PC requirements, and a brand-new 6v6 multiplayer mode - Dual Front - with free access for new players.
In the official blog post, Ubisoft has revealed the updated system requirements for PC players - and they look quite demanding. Here’s what Rainbow Six Siege X system requirements look like -
Tier | Target Resolution / FPS | CPU | GPU | RAM | Storage |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Low | 1080p @ 60 FPS | Intel i3-8100 / AMD Ryzen 3 3100 | GTX 1650 / RX 5500 XT / Arc A380 | 8 GB | 65 GB SSD |
Medium | 1080p @ 60 FPS | AMD Ryzen 5 3600 | RTX 2060 / RX 6600 | 16 GB | 65 GB SSD |
High | 1440p @ 120 FPS | Intel i5-11600K / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X | RTX 3070 / RX 6700 XT | 16 GB | 65 GB SSD |
Ultra | 4K @ 120 FPS | Intel i5-11600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X | RTX 4070 Ti Super / RX 7900 XT | 16 GB | 110 GB SSD |
As you can see, an entry-level CPU, GPU, and 8GB RAM are sufficient to run the game at the minimum requirements. However, players who want to play at higher resolutions or for competitive performance will have to upgrade their rigs. Further, Ubisoft's Ultra texture pack inflates the install size to 110GB, so players may also need to upgrade their storage.
In addition to the PC requirements, Ubisoft also published performance targets for consoles -
- PS5, Xbox Series X: 4K @ 120 FPS (Core), 60 FPS (Dual Front)
- PS5 Pro:4K @ 120 FPS (Core), 60 FPS (Dual Front)
- Xbox Series S: 1080p @ 120 FPS or 1728p @ 60 FPS
- PS4 and Xbox One: Supported, but capped at lower fidelity and frame rates
Siege X is a free upgrade for current Siege players and part of the Ubisoft+ Premium and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. New players can jump into the action via Free Access, with optional purchases for battle passes and ranked play.
