Furi is now 80% off on Steam, dropping to just $3.99 - its lowest price in two years. The cult-favorite fast-paced boss rush game features swordplay and twin-stick shooting with a standout soundtrack and style.

Games like Furi don’t often make headlines these days - but when a cult-favorite slasher hits its lowest price ever, it’s worth a second look.

Furi is a fast-paced boss rush title - now available on Steam for just $3.99, its lowest price in two years. That’s an 80% discount off its regular $19.99 price, as confirmed by SteamDB. The deal runs through April 13, which makes this a pretty good time to grab a cult favorite if it’s not already in your library.

Developed by The Game Bakers and released back in 2016, Furi has both hack-and-slash swordplay, alongside twin-stick shooting mechanics, built entirely around intense 1v1 boss fights. The game’s visual style is sharp and stylized, with animation direction by Takashi Okazaki - best known as the creator of Afro Samurai. Its synth-heavy soundtrack, featuring artists like Carpenter Brut and Danger, is often cited as one of the best parts of the experience, as per game reviews.

Despite its age, Furi has held up quite well. Combat is snappy, the difficulty curve rewards focus, and the game wastes no time on filler - each encounter is uncommon and mechanically layered. It’s also been optimized over time, with solid performance on modern hardware and controller support baked in. Steam reviews are pretty good as well, with 88% of them positive (across over 12,000 ratings). The game holds a Metascore of 77, which is pretty respectable.

There are no microtransactions, no open-world fluff, and no endless checklists - just a focused, stylish, and very tough action game that should feel fresh even nine years later. At four bucks, it’s a surprisingly easy recommendation. If you're interested, take a look at the launch trailer below. You can check the game out on Steam here.
