Inspired by the Lantern and Kitefin sharks, Freestyle Watches has released two new colorways of the popular Shark Classic watch. Featuring Shark Brite tech, these new drops have some extra retro flare.

With roots in California beach culture, Freestyle Watches has released two new colorways for the Shark Classic, which pay homage to two unique shark species. Known for their bioluminescence, the Lantern, and Kitefin sharks have distinct colors that inspire colors found in Freestyle's Shark Brite glow-in-the-dark tech. However, passive glow in the dark isn't the only unique feature of these retro-inspired timepieces.

Both 38mm watches feature 100-meter water resistance and hydro pusher buttons that allow the watch functions to operate under three atmospheres of pressure. Along with these features, the Shark Classic has standard digital watch offerings, including:

  • Alarm function
  • Stopwatch
  • Date and dual times
  • Countdown timer
  • Blue backlight lighting

When it comes to strap design, users will find that each watch has a unique offering. =

The Lantern Shark, known for its yellow light-detecting spot, comes in a complimenting retro pink, yellow, and blue design and features a clip band with a max wrist size of 205mm. Alternatively, the Kitefin Shark edition, inspired by the shark's blue-green bioluminescence, comes in pink, white, and blue and has a leash strap with the same max wrist size of 205mm. For those who prefer one strap over the other, Freestyle has an abundance of straps available that feature different strap mechanisms. Currently, both watches are available for $70 each exclusively on Freestyle's site. Those interested can find more information on these new releases and purchase options in the links below.
