Steam's free games collection has been expanded once again, and this comes after the platform saw tens of new releases last month. As for the newly spotted freebies, they were released on Steam in late September or in early October 2025. Among all, here's more information about some of the new $0 games that already have a good player rating:

• Sync Or Sink - an early access free game that was released on Steam on October 1 and has a 93% positive player rating. It's a co-op freebie that tasks two players with completing different challenges together as they work to escape from a sinking submarine.
• Tiempo - a 3D platformer that was released on Steam as a free game on October 3. It comes with proper controller support (8BitDo Ultimate 2C curr. $25.49 on Amazon), has a 95% positive rating, and features interesting gameplay with puzzles and traps.
• The Last Shores - released on October 5, this is a solar-punk adventure title that offers relaxing gameplay. This free game currently sports a 100% positive rating that's based on 13 reviews.
• Unknown Fluffy Object - a casual third-person free game that lets players take the role of a sheepdog. It became available on Steam on October 3, and the title currently has a 100% positive rating.
• I See Me - released on September 25, it's an online co-op title that puts players in a rescue story. The free game currently sports an 81% positive player rating.
• Googunners! - an arcade turret defence game that was released on Steam on September 26 as a free game. It currently boasts an 87% positive rating that's based on 24 player reviews.
• Shards of the Banished - said to be a dark fantasy action-RPG that's set in a medieval world. It's an early access free game with controller support that launched on September 27 and currently has an 88% positive rating.
• Deadswitch Combat - a fast-paced 2D multiplayer shooter with action-packed gameplay. It launched as a free game on Steam on September 26 and currently sports an 87% positive player rating.
