Free FSD transfer promo pops up again for new Tesla buyers but still by delivery date

Faced with peer pressure by Tesla's shareholding audience during the Annual Stockholder Meeting, Elon Musk budged and promised "one more quarter" of free FSD transfers.

Tesla's CEO was in a good mood, as he had just been granted a $56 billion pay package approval vote and reneged on the free Full SD transfer promo's previous deadline.

When asked why doesn't Tesla make the free Full Self-Driving (Supervised) option transfer a permanent fixture of its vehicle marketing, Elon answered that "we have to earn revenue somehow."

Still, under the pressure of the Giga Texas audience chants "one more quarter, one more quarter" he chuckled, paused, and then agreed "ok, one more quarter, you got it."

Tesla is now delivering on Elon Musk's promise, and users have already gotten the new free FSD transfer offer extension deadline.

In short, if new Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X owners take delivery between June 24 and August 31, they can transfer their bought and paid for FSD option for free to the new car. 

As usual, there is no need to trade their existing VIN with FSD, but Tesla does the delivery date shenanigan again. Car buyers aren't in control of delivery dates, and many a new Tesla owner have seen theirs slip past the free FSD transfer promo deadline before.

Many prospective buyers are waiting to see which way the Tesla price winds will blow over the summer, as the automaker keeps toying with Model Y prices and stackable offers, not to mention adding extra vehicles like the Model 3 LR to its tax credit roster.

Those who wait, however, might get dangerously close to the time when the delivery window for their decked-out new Tesla will start closing in on the free FSD transfer's August 31 deadline.
