The Form Smart Swim 2 swimming goggles were announced back in April 2024, and now a Pro version is on the horizon. This is said to be significantly more robust, with the lenses being made of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 instead of plastic, which are intended to provide better scratch protection and filter out UV radiation.
A special spray consisting of 25% baby shampoo and 75% water helps prevent the goggles from fogging up while swimming. The basic functionality remains unchanged. The goggles continue to display important metrics in the user's field of vision in near real-time, and the corresponding smartphone app allows users to customize the data displayed. Available metrics include heart rate, stroke rate, distance covered and elapsed time.
While the Form Smart Swim 2 Pro can measure the user's heart rate directly, users must wear a compatible Garmin or Apple smartwatch to determine the distance swum. All data is then stored in the smartphone app and synchronized with services such as Apple Health and Strava. Those who want to use guided workouts, a digital swim compass and a workout builder must purchase a paid subscription, which costs $9.99 per month.
Price and availability
Form Smart Swim 2 Pro is expected to be launched at the beginning of August at a price of $329. Further details on the swimming goggles can be found on the official product page. For comparison, the older Form Smart Swim 2 goggles currently cost $279.
