Flashy Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and ThinkPad Z16 are dressed to impress in latest leaked renders
Hot on the heels of sharing renditions of the next-generation Lenovo ThinkBook Plus, Evan Blass has also posted some images of the upcoming Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 and ThinkPad Z16. While there are no details about specifications, there is certainly a good look at the overall design of the ThinkPad Z-series laptops, which should offer decent multimedia capabilities in a thin and light form.
The larger of the two models, the Lenovo ThinkPad Z16, is decked out in silver with a brushed metal look on the lid. The very familiar Lenovo red dot can be seen in both the logo on the lid and in the obligatory pointing stick in the center of the keyboard. As mentioned above, the top edge is disturbed by a protruding tab that houses the Windows Hello camera equipment. The overall design of the Z16 is typically modern and certainly not as dramatic as that of its smaller relative.
The Z13 is going to be one of those laptops that a user either loves or hate when it comes to how it looks. The smaller Lenovo ThinkPad device is clad in a combination of gold and leather (possibly polyurethane leather). The keyboard is colored in gold, as are the sides of both the bottom part of the laptop and the lid. However, most of the lid area is covered in the leather-like material, with some of Blass’s followers already proclaiming their distaste for the style choice while others have given it their seal of approval.
No price, specs, or launch date have been offered at the moment for either the Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 or the ThinkPad Z16, but it seems likely that full details of the two new laptops will be made public at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2022.
