Factory Starlink Internet option coming to Airstream and Jayco RV trailers with a free month of service

THOR Industries, the globe's RV OEM maker which is behind such iconic recreational vehicle brands like Airstream, Entegra Coach, Jayco, or Tiffin, has become the first company to offer factory Starlink satellite Internet integration in its RVs. Future THOR customers will be able to buy an RV from those four brands with flat high-performance Starlink RV equipment as an extra option.

The exclusive agreement with Elon Musk's SpaceX and the factory installation of Starlink's gear will ensure better satellite Internet connectivity on the go with up to 50 Mbps speeds guaranteed even in times of congestion. Not only that, but each satellite Internet-equipped recreational vehicle will come with one month of Starlink RV service for free following initial activation. According to the THOR Industries President and CEO Bob Martin:

This agreement is a big step toward providing constant internet connection for RVers everywhere. Whether for work, staying in touch with family and friends, or streaming entertainment, a reliable internet connection is a must-have for today's RVer. Starlink will help THOR elevate our RV owners' experiences and create yet another important point of differentiation for the THOR family of companies.

As for SpaceX, it keeps signing up commercial customers for its Starlink business services that is now available not only to the RV crowd, but also to cruise companies, and even airlines, with Elon Musk recently advising that aircraft Starlink can be as fast as fixed broadband. The SpaceX VP of Business Operations Chad Gibbs also anointed the new business partnership:

By providing game-changing connectivity in remote locations whether parked or in motion, Starlink is expanding the boundaries of where RVers can explore while still staying connected to friends and family.

The price for, say, an Airstream trailer Starlink RV Internet factory integration is not clear yet, but it will be available to add as an option during purchase for the 2023 models soon.
