If you get the Starlink for RV satellite Internet in the US now, you'll be in for a subscription price cut in the form of the first month of usage free. SpaceX is running the promo in sync with one of the most successful Black Friday shopping discount seasons in recent memory, as a Starlink for RV deal in Canada keeps the subscription price intact, but cuts the price of the equipment by more than 20% instead.
While SpaceX waives US$135 in one monthly fee off the price of the Starlink for RV subscription price here in the US, it still keeps the same US$599 in portable and US$2,500 in moving equipment charges. Canadians don't get a free Starlink Internet month, yet SpaceX cuts the price of the gear needed to get online there from CAD$759 to CAD$589.
Back in October, Starlink started offering the flat high-performance dish that allows for getting satellite Internet on a moving vehicle, but the equipment price reduction offer is for the regular portable RV equipment. The Starlink for RV price deal is offered on its North American websites, as well as in an advertising campaign that doesn't just encompass Elon Musk's Twitter, but also Instagram and other media.
Recently, SpaceX introduced speed throttling and download caps for the heaviest Starlink Internet users, ending its unlimited data policy. Needless to say, it was because Starlink became victim of its own success in increasing coverage and attracting customers, so every little bit of a dish equipment promo or a subscription price reduction helps.
