Eurocom Tornado F5 Killer is world's first 15.6-inch notebook with i7-7700K and GTX 1080 graphics
The workstation/gaming notebook begins shipping this January 4th with a Core i7-7700K for a starting price of about $1800 USD.

It has barely been a full day into the new year and Eurocom is already starting off strong with one of the world's fastest 15.6-inch notebooks.

Called the Tornado F5 Killer Edition, the system is essentially the same as the existing Tornado F5 but with the highest possible core configuration option including the GTX 1080 and all-new Core i7-7700K Kaby Lake CPU. Previously, the Tornado F5 was configurable only up to the i7-6700K Skylake. Users who own the i7-6700K SKU may still upgrade to the i7-7700K since the two generations share the same LGA 1151 socket. Eurocom notebooks are one of the few in the market with both LGA 1151 and MXM 3.0 slots for wider customization options than most gaming alternatives currently available.

Other core specifications for the Tornado F5 include 4x DDR4-3200 SODIMM slots, 4K UHD display, up to 3x storage drives (2x M.2 2280, 1x 2.5-inch SATA III), 3x USB 3.0, 1x USB Type-C w/ Thunderbolt 3, 1x HDMI 2.0, 1x mDP, and stereo 2 W speakers. Unfortunately, the notebook is lacking 5 ms/120 Hz display options as found on the latest MSI and Aorus notebooks.

Check out the official product page below for more details with our dedicated review page on the Tornado F5 to come soon.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I'm not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
