It's Cassette Beasts, and like the recent free games from Epic Games Store, this game giveaway will be available for a short time. More specifically, it will expire on December 28, 2025, at UTC 16:00, and that's when another mystery freebie will be revealed.

Taking a closer look at Cassette Beasts, per some players who have played it, this is a great indie game that "easily stands up there with Pokémon." Developed by Bytten Studio, it's basically an open-world RPG where players get to collect monsters and transform them using retro cassette tapes.

As a title that takes inspiration from Pokémon-style monster-taming games, it puts heavy emphasis on turn-based battles, exploration, and unique fusions of the collected monsters. The core gameplay revolves around transforming the monsters, which players can use to fight battles.
