The Epic Games Store is now giving away a new game on PC, but only for a short time. Building on last week's giveaway, Cat Quest II is a highly rated open-world action RPG set in a fantasy world dominated by cats and dogs.

The Epic Games Store has followed up last week's cat-themed gaming giveaway with a new free game that falls under the same banner. To recap, the storefront had been discounting Cat Quest I and Neko Ghost, Jump! until earlier today in a combined deal worth $27.98.

This week, Epic Games has pivoted to only giving away a single game on PC. Typically sold for $14.99, Cat Quest II is also available in physical form on consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on its own or part of the Pawsome Pack bundled with the original Cat Quest (curr. $35 on Amazon). Incidentally, averages of 76/100 and 77/100 see Cat Quest II scoring about as highly as its predecessor on Metacritic and OpenCritic, respectively.

Cat Quest II should run on pretty much any modern PC going too, thanks to recommended system requirements like a Core i7-7500U CPU, a HD Graphics 620 iGPU, 8 GB of RAM and just 600 MB of storage. This week's free game should still be playable on something like an Core i3-2100 paired with 4 GB of RAM, though. Cat Quest II, also known as Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire, will be available to add to your Epic Games library for free until April 10 at 15:59 UTC. Please see the Epic Games Store listing for more redemption details.
