Epic Games of the Fortnite fame has given away a substantial number of games ever since its inception in 2018. Much like its arch-rival Steam, the digital distribution platform has regular sales that slash the price of several popular titles. There's even a 'mystery' game that will unlock in about two days, and rumor has it that it will be Civilization VI.
Buying a title just before it went on sale can be a bit frustrating. That's why Epic Games Store is now issuing what it calls 'partial' refunds for people who bought a game at full price. A user on Twitter woke up to a delightful email from Epic, which essentially refunded the difference between the game's retail and sale price.
Does this mean that those who bought GTA V at full price will be refunded the entire amount? Probably not, though if there is anyone who can surprise us with something like that, it'd be Epic Games. The game up for grabs on the platform, so go get it if you haven't already.
For those who want something newer, there's a 'mega sale' going on that discounts a host of old and new titles. Rockstar Games' latest masterpiece -Red Dead Redemption 2- is discounted too. You can find out more about the sale on the Epic Games Store website/client.
Whoa whoa what?! I’ve clearly been around for too long because I find this refund for a discount I missed on the @EpicGames store absolutely mind blowingly generous. This is incredible? pic.twitter.com/eHfcus5E0K
