LG begins upgrading the G7 ThinQ and V50S ThinQ to Android 10
LG has started upgrading the G7 ThinQ and V50S ThinQ to Android 10. Sold as the G8X ThinQ in some regions, the V50S ThinQ is a completely different device from the V50 ThinQ. The updates, which are called G710N30d and V510NO20e respectively, carry the following changelogs:
LG G7 ThinQ
- Android 10 OS has been applied.
- Pop-up window function has been added.
- Night mode function has been added.
- Gesture style has been added to the navigation bar.
- Shortcut behavior of accessibility shortcut settings has been changed.
- The hot key behavior of the touch area control setting has been changed.
- Screen recording function has been added.
LG V50S ThinQ
- Android 10 OS has been applied.
- Pop-up window function has been added.
- Gesture style has been added to the navigation bar.
- Shortcut behavior of accessibility shortcut settings has been changed.
- The hot key behavior of the touch area control setting has been changed.
- Added the setting when folded behind the dual screen.
Currently limited to South Korean handsets, the release of kernel sources for international versions of the G7 ThinQ suggests that LG cannot be far off from bringing Android 10 to its former flagship. The same cannot be said for the V50S ThinQ, though.
Meanwhile, the V50 ThinQ and G8 ThinQ have already received Android 10 in most regions. Confusingly called LG UX 9.0, the custom version of Android 10 resembles Samsung's One UI.
