Epic Games Store extends mystery free game giveaways into April 2025

Epic Games Store has unwrapped the first two cat-themed mystery free games. As we've already described in a separate coverage, these two mystery free games are Neko Ghost, Jump! and Cat Quest. These two will be available to claim for $0 till April 3, 15:00 UTC. After that, the storefront will refresh its free game giveaway section, but unlike the regular giveaways, this title hasn't been revealed yet.

That is, Epic Games Store has confirmed that it will extend its cat-themed mystery game giveaway into April. Just like past mystery giveaway events from the storefront, this one has also made the community come together, and a good number of predictions are in.

Per some users on r/EpicGamesPC, the next free game of this mystery event could be Cat Quest 2, which seems highly possible. After all, the title fits the theme, and as Epic Games Store is already giving away the first entry of the series, it might as well give away the second entry for free.

Moreover, as noted by u/404CipherNotFound on the subreddit, the teaser image for next week's free game has "CII" in the URL, while the first teaser image apparently had "CQ," hinting at Cat Quest. This is once again suggesting that the next mystery giveaway could be Cat Quest 2.

Other users on the subreddit are hoping the next free game to be Stray, a hit adventure game from 2022. It could also be Rain World, a survival platformer that launched in 2017, and it fits the mystery giveaway theme well.
