Ender-3 V3: 3D printer with auto leveling, easy maintenance and large touchscreen now available
Creality now has a new 3D printer on offer. The Ender-3 V3 is available directly from the manufacturer at a price of 419 euros with a discount - it is not yet clear whether the printer will actually be offered for the strike price of 449 euros. The Ender-3 V3 is an open 3D printer and therefore does not come with an enclosure. As a result, users are exposed to the 3D printer's exhaust fumes, and the print quality may be impaired by the non-constant temperature or draughts.
The 358 x 374 x 498 millimeter printer offers a build space of 220 x 220 x 250 millimeters and is designed to support a print speed of up to 600 mm/s - as usual, a sensible compromise between print speed and print quality must be found. The printing accuracy, or, more precisely, the deviation, is estimated at 0.2 millimeters. The layer height can be adjusted to between 0.1 and 0.35 millimeters, meaning that both fast prototypes and precise, productively usable prints can be produced.
The printing plate can be heated up to 110 °C, and, according to the manufacturer, PLA, TPU, PETG, and ABS can be printed. Two fans allow the printed component to be cooled quickly and effectively after extrusion. The simple replacement of the print nozzle is also advertised. The XZ-toothed belt is designed to be automatically tensioned, and its calibration also occurs automatically. It is controlled via a touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, which even offers a model preview.
