Chinese tech manufacturer Ecovacs has just unveiled the Winbot W2S Omni, the latest addition to its lineup of window-cleaning robots. The new model is built around a multifunction docking station that works as charger, storage unit, and control hub. A 4,500 mAh battery claims to power the robot for up to 110 minutes on a single charge.
The company has upgraded its WIN-SLAM system to version 4.0, which brings smarter route planning and multiple cleaning options, including quick, deep, and zone modes. Corners and edges are handled by the TruEdge scrubbing system, which lowers a rotating brush at up to 200 rpm to remove dirt before retracting to avoid streaks. A new four-sided cleaning mode narrows gaps to just over a centimeter from the frame.
Safety-wise, the W2S Omni applies 8,000 Pa of suction to stay firmly attached to the glass, backed by sensors that detect movement and edges within 0.2 seconds. Even if the battery runs low, the robot can remain in place for half an hour. The package includes a safety rope, while Ecovacs also offers optional coverage against damage caused by rare suction failures.
The Winbot W2S Omni is priced at €599 and comes with a docking station, washable cloths, cleaning solution, and other accessories. It is compatible with glass panes as thin as 3 mm and windows measuring at least 30 × 40 cm.
