As the more affordable version of the pricier Durabook U11, the Durabook R11 maintains a lot of the core functions of a rugged tablet while incorporating a few features of its own. However, we can't say we're fans of the new touch-sensitive buttons.

The Durabook R11 stands out among fully rugged tablets for its modern 12th Gen Intel silicon and thin-and-light (but, yes, still fully rugged) design. It’s the thinnest and lightest fully rugged tablet we’ve reviewed, which is of paramount importance for a machine you or your employees may be toting around in the field or warehouse during long workdays. Holding a heavy tablet hour after hour—and day after day—can become a physical strain on workers. Unfortunately, the R11's disappointing battery life prevents an Editors' Choice award. Even though they are bulkier, we still recommend the Getac F110 or Panasonic Toughbook G2 for their longer runtimes, which is definitely a more important metric.

The easy-to-use Durabook R8 is one of the few fanless tablets equipped with an Intel Core U-series CPU. Performance is pared back due to the lack of active cooling, but auxiliary features remain excellent.

The Durabook R11 isn’t designed like the regular tablet at home or in a typical office environment. As such, not everyone will want to invest in a device that would be overkill in distinct business spaces. However, if you need a device that can withstand the rigors of dust, dirt, water, and being dropped on hard surfaces while keeping operations up and running smoothly, consider the R11. With swappable and rechargeable batteries, this can be used for a work shift and quickly swap out a storm over a break or before an upcoming change. Rather than building a device with everything already included, Durabook took the modular approach to keep costs down by offering unique accessories to affix to the tablet for specific use cases.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.
Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G7 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 80 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.
Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Large smartphones and a few small tablets are available for this display size. Unlike most smartphones, you can see more on the screen, more details and use larger resolutions. Such formats are better for people with defective vision. However, such devices are no longer easy to fit in a pocket, and they are probably not quite light either.

79.9%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
