DuckDuckGo bundles up three advanced privacy features in a new paid service

DuckDuckGo, the search engine popular for it’s privacy features, has announced a new paid service Privacy Pro. The bundle comes with three advanced features that aim to improve online security.

With the Privacy Pro bundle, users will get access to a VPN that allows users to encrypt their internet connection on up to five devices (like phone, laptop, router, etc.) simultaneously. DuckDuckGo operates the VPN itself, and claims that no logs are kept of VPN activity or information submitted for personal information removal.

Further, users also get a Personal Information Removal feature, that helps them remove personal details like name and address from "people search" sites that collect and sell such data. With this, users educe the risk of identity theft and spam.

The third feature is the ‘Identity Theft Restoration’ that provides assistance from Iris®, which is a leading identity theft protection company. In case of an identity theft, this feature will help users with credit report repair, document replacement, and dealing with fraudulent medical claims.

Currently, Privacy Pro is only available to users in the United States. However, the official announcement by DuckDuckGo mentioned that it has plans to expand the service to other regions in the future.
