The 2023 Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4, also called the ThinkBook Plus Twist, has now been discounted by an incredible 44%. The laptop features a main OLED display with a secondary color E-ink panel on the back. Powering these panels is a Core i7-1355U processor alongside 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

From the professional ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo to the ROG Zephyrus Duo gaming laptop, dual-screen notebooks can provide a lot of utility if done right. Lenovo also has a novel dual-screen design in the ThinkBook Plus Twist/Gen 4. Unlike ASUS’s above-mentioned offerings which incorporate a secondary display in the base unit below the main display, the ThinkBook Plus has a secondary E-ink display on the back of the primary screen. Add to it a unique twisting mechanism courtesy of a centrally located hinge and the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 is quite unlike anything on the market.

If you are interested in picking one up, Lenovo is currently selling the ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 for only US$1,700 with the coupon code THINKPLUSSALE automatically applied. If not, you can apply the code at checkout resulting in a massive US$1,339 discount (via slickdeals). According to Honey’s price history tool, this price is the lowest it has been in 120 days.

Being a 2023 product, the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 is based on an Intel Core i7-1355U Raptor Lake CPU with 10 cores and 12 threads. Additionally, the laptop features 16 GB of LPDDR5X-6400 memory, 512 GB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, an FHD webcam, and a 56 Wh battery.

The main draw of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 is the dual-screen nature of the device. The primary screen is a 13.3-inch OLED panel with a 2.8K resolution, HDR 500, 400 nits of advertised brightness, and an acclaimed 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 gamut. Around the back, the secondary color E-ink display has a 12-inch diagonal, a resolution of 2560x1600, 100 nits of brightness, and a 12 Hz refresh rate. The E-ink is also LED-backlit and has an anti-glare finish.

Both displays on the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 also feature 10-point touch with support for pen input. Fortunately, Lenovo is wise enough to include a Lenovo Base Pen 4.0 in the box saving users the trouble of buying one separately.

Additionally, the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 has a novel hinge design. Located in the center, the hinge allows the displays of the laptop to swivel or twist giving users the ability to quickly change between the primary OLED and the secondary E-ink panel.  Additionally, just like a 2-in-1, you can also lay the display flat on the keyboard transforming the ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 into a tablet form which is much more suitable for use cases like reading eBooks.

All in all, if you are in the market for a dual-screen laptop that packs a sleek modern design, a beautiful primary OLED panel, a nifty secondary display, and respectable performance, the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 4 appears to be a pretty great deal at the latest discount.
