It isn’t all negative for Doogee, because the smartphone maker shows ambition to improve with every new phone it releases. Perhaps a possible move to using Qualcomm processors in the company’s next flagship will result in the demise of the poor MediaTek skin, improved software optimization, and better use of the camera sensors.

The Doogee Mix 2 is a phone that delivers less than it appears to promise. It isn’t as “bezel-free” as it at first appears; its camera array is poorly designed; and the software could make much better use of the screen space.

It doesn’t have the polish of its big-name rivals, but this mammoth phone lasts an age between charges.

So is the Doogee Mix 2 a worthy successor to the Mix? Then the answer is yes. If you could look past its flaws, like its mediocre rear cameras quality and unresponsive fingerprint scanner, then this is one solid device. It’s got a large FHD+ display, 6GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, and 4060mAh battery. For its price, the Mix 2 is worth considering.

For the seemingly insane price of $249, this is a seriously solid smartphone. Yeah, there are some drawbacks — the rear camera being the biggest — but that might be a small sacrifice if you just want a speedy, solid Android phone without breaking the bank. Doogee sells the Mix 2 right from its website (via Alibaba’s AliExpress) for its suggested price of $249, but you can nab it for as low as $199 during regular flash sales on several import sites, including BangGood and GearBest.

This display is quite big for a smartphone but frequently used for smartphones.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
