On Sunday, December 15 at 2:10 PM GMT, the business-oriented Pumble messaging/conferencing platform became unresponsive to go dark a short while later. It took Cake about an hour to make Pumble work again. Things appear to be back to normal as of 3:20 PM GMT (07:20 AM CST). Update: Still no word from the company

December 16, 4:38 PM GMT update: There is still no word on the incident in the official blog and the X account hasn't made any useful information available, either. The original article follows below.

Pumble became available in Q2 2020 and has been enjoying a slow but steady increase in its user base since. Hailing from California, the platform is very much privacy-friendly as just entering one's e-mail address and typing the verification code is enough to create an account. It also has a Web-based version for those who prefer not to install any apps.

While Pumble tends to be fast and reliable, a service outage seemingly occurred today, Dec 15. It began with messages taking unusually long to load and impossible to send, and ended in Pumble going down for about an hour. Thankfully, whatever it was that caused the issue, the Pumble team managed to get things back under control and the messaging platform works as usual as of Dec 15, 3:37 PM GMT (07:37 AM CST). You may need to re-login, though.

There is no official information on the incident in the official blog as of this writing. Pumble's account on X has published no posts on this, either. We'll update our piece once we know more.
