Deal: Apple's brand-new 2021 iPad is already discounted at Walmart
Right at the beginning of Tuesday's California Streaming event, Apple has officially announced a new budget iPad which has received an upgraded A13 Bionic SoC, a better 10.2-inch display with True Tone technology as well as an improved wide-angle front camera that can now be used for the Center Stage function that was previously known from the much more expensive iPad Pro.
Even before the new affordable Apple tablet has been officially released, retailers are already selling the 2021 iPad at discounted prices. Walmart in the U.S. for example has now matched Apple's educational pricing of the 10.2-inch iPad and offers it for US$299, which is US$30 off the original MSRP of US$329. This price only applies to the 64GB base Wi-Fi model of the tablet, which now has twice as much storage as the previous iPad, which started at a measly 32GB.
Walmart's sale includes preorders for both the Space Gray and Silver variant of the 2021 iPad, and shipping estimates currently vary between September 26 and September 29. This appears to be a good opportunity to snatch Apple's latest budget iPad for a lower price even before it has been officially released.
