No Rest for the Wicked is an early access title from Moon Studios. It is a unique blend of ARPG and Souls-like elements.

Many consider Path of Exile 2 to be an amalgamation of Elden Ring and Diablo. But that isn't necessarily true because there's more to a Souls-like than just a dodge roll. POE 2 is a fundamentally different game because at the end of the day, the objective is to blast through hordes of enemies, the opposite of what does in a Souls-like. Here's where No Rest for the Wicked comes in.

Developed by Moon Studios (of the Ori and the Blind Forest/Will of the Wisps fame), No Rest for the Wicked drastically slows down the pace of a typical ARPG. Instead of hordes of trash mobs, the map is populated by fewer, far more powerful enemies. Combat is also a lot slower, and involves you dodging attacks and projectiles as much as you would in a Souls game.

Strictly speaking, No Rest for the Wicked has no classes. Instead, you can pick between a selection of weapons that suit your play style. As long as you stay on your toes and dodge properly, you should not die. The learning curve is undoubtedly steep, but easy to catch on in a few hours. While the endgame isn't as polished as some other ARPGs, that is to be expected because the game is still in early access.

Now would be a good time to start No Rest for the Wicked because it got a massive update yesterday that addresses some, if not all, the issues highlighted by players. It also adds a load of new quests and endgame content. Its system requirements aren't very high, but you might have a hard time running it on a Steam Deck. No Rest for the Wicked has been discounted by 30% on Steam and can be bought for $27.99.
