DJI Mic 4 or Mic Mini 2: DJI officially teases colorful new wireless microphone

April is proving to be a massive month for DJI. The company is currently on a "teaser roll" for several upcoming products, including the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 (arriving April 16) and the DJI Lito drones (arriving April 23).
Now, we have our first official look of what appears to be a surprising new wireless microphone release. DJI’s teaser, captioned "More Than Sound - April 28," shows the silhouette of a tiny square that looks awfully similar to a DJI Mic transmitter.
This means we are likely looking at either a new flagship DJI Mic 4 or an affordable DJI Mic Mini 2. Since the DJI Mic 3 only just launched in August 2025, it is more probable that we are getting a successor to the DJI Mic Mini. Having originally debuted in November 2024, the Mic Mini is arguably due for a refresh.

DJI's new wireless mic is getting a colorful design twist: Is it the DJI Mic Mini 2 or DJI Mic 4?
What’s more intriguing is that the teaser video shared by DJI features a plethora of colors. This hints at a more vibrant lineup of wireless mics, which would fit the DJI Mic Mini’s lifestyle user base better than the professional-oriented DJI Mic 3 (available in black). Of course, it is entirely possible the teaser is simply hinting at colorful stickers or a new accessory designed to brighten up the transmitters.
Leaked Osmo Pocket 4 marketing images showing a DJI Mic 3 included in the Pocket 4’s "Creator Combo" further supports the theory that the April 28 launch is reserved for the DJI Mic Mini 2. Unless DJI is preparing to surprise us with a completely different product altogether.
Stay tuned for more updates regarding DJI’s numerous product launches this month.
