CyberLink has announced its latest PowerDirector video editing software to simplify the task of creating attractive videos for business and social media at Computex 2025.
PowerDirector 1.0 won the Best Multimedia Product Award at Computex 2001. This year, the company utilized the Intel OpenVINO open-source toolkit to integrate generative AI features. Notably, OpenVINO relies on local, built-in Intel or discrete GPUs instead of cloud-based services to power its AI capabilities. This ensures offline AI access for editors, enhancing security against movie theft.
The software can now quickly identify faces, humans, and other objects using AI object segmentation and track them as they move throughout a scene. Special effects such as face blurring, text, and graphics can be easily applied to these objects without laborious manual tracking.
PowerDirector has the ability to turn videos into anime, remove image noise, create matching music, adjust colors and lighting, create speech from text, and enhance audio recordings using AI. For multilingual productions, PowerDirector can automatically clone and translate voices and generate new lip synced versions of a video.
PowerDirector 365 has an MSRP of $74.99 for a one-year subscription (at Amazon for $54.99).
