Deal | Curved 34-inch Gigabyte G34WQC-A VA gaming monitor on sale for $300 USD
Amazon is currently offering the 34-inch Gigabyte G34WQC-A curved gaming monitor for $150 USD off the original launch price of $450. Aside from its large size and 21:9 aspect ratio, the monitor is notable for its extensive list of features that hardcore gamers can appreciate including HDR400 support, FreeSync Premium, fast response times, and a 144 Hz native refresh rate. Colors are also very wide at 90 percent of the DCI-P3 standard meaning the monitor can be used for digital editing as well.
A key drawback to the monitor is that it utilizes a VA panel which comes with its own advantages and disadvantages when compared to IPS. Contrast is higher, for example, albeit at the cost of narrower viewing angles. It's a trade-off that gamers will want to keep in mind when deciding between the Gigabyte monitor and an IPS alternative.
Another drawback is the relatively low native resolution of 3440x1440 despite the large screen size of 34-inches. Such a resolution is lower than a typical 4K monitor. For only $300 USD, however, this may not be a deal breaker especially for gamers who prefer higher rates over higher resolutions.
