Compact Motorola Edge 70 Neo is on the horizon, Lenovo is dropping hints

Motorola’s Edge series typically includes numerous models aimed at different target audiences. For example, the Edge 70 Pro is designed to satisfy customers with higher performance demands, while the Edge 70 Fusion ($325 on Amazon) makes a few compromises in terms of features to offer a lower price. 

In the past, Motorola has also offered models with a more compact design, such as the Edge 50 Neo and the Edge 60 Neo, made possible primarily by smaller 6.36-inch displays. However, there has been no sign of the Motorola Edge 70 Neo until now. That’s about to change. As GSMArena has discovered, Lenovo India has released a beta version of Android 17 specifically for the Motorola Edge 70 Neo. Since the Motorola Edge 70 Neo is also listed on the beta test registration form, it’s unlikely that this is simply an error.

Exactly when the Motorola Edge 70 Neo will hit the market is not yet known, however, and details about its specifications are still pending. The Motorola Edge 60 Neo was equipped with a triple-camera setup, including a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and, unlike the regular Edge 60, it also supported wireless charging. The processor was the same as in the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Fusion, suggesting that the Edge 70 Neo will be equipped with either a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 or a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4.
