The TCL P80 and TCL P80 Pro feature thinner bezels than some flagship smartphones, all at prices starting at €300 ($347). A leak has revealed the next-generation mid-range smartphones ahead of time, including their design and key specifications.

TCL appears to be launching two exciting mid-range smartphones soon, as Roland Quandt has already uncovered the first images and details about the features of the TCL P80 and the TCL P80 Pro. At first glance, the design is strongly reminiscent of the TCL NxtPaper 70 Pro ($279 on Amazon), from the flat plastic frame to the pill-shaped camera module with two lenses.

The standout feature of the TCL P80 series is its screen bezels, which are not only uniformly thin on all four sides but also extremely narrow. TCL is reportedly offering these flagship-level screen bezels on the P80 for around €300 ($347), while the TCL P80 Pro is expected to cost €350 ($404). The two smartphones look nearly identical, but the Pro model has an additional slider on the right side that may activate the display’s NxtPaper mode or mute notifications.

The TCL P80 reportedly features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Elite with four ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores and four Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The base model is also said to come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash storage. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh. TCL is said to be equipping the device with a 32-megapixel selfie camera, a 50-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera.

For an additional €50, buyers of the TCL P80 Pro will reportedly get a slightly faster MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage, as well as a larger 5,800 mAh battery. The cameras are identical on both models. The top-of-the-line model reportedly features a 6.83-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,766 x 1,280 pixels and NxtPaper mode, details about the base model’s screen are not yet known.
