Codemasters releases F1 2021 content update with new track and Aston Martin safety car
After Formula 1 fans have witnessed a controversial crash between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza this past weekend, Codemasters has used the opportunity to release the first free content update for its racing game F1 2021 (from US$44 on Amazon).
As can be seen in the embedded trailer below, the update introduces the race track Portimao, where Lewis Hamilton has won the real Portuguese Grand Prix this season on May 2. Players can now relive this race and change the result to their advantage. With patch 1.10, which was released for PC and all consoles, Codemasters has also adjusted the performance of the F1 cars, which of course improves during the season due to the team's continuous development.
In addition to these two welcome changes, Codemasters has also added the Aston Martin Vantage as the official safety car in F1 2021. In the video, the British developer further promises to provide more free content updates for its Formula 1 game in the near future. The race tracks Imola and Jeddah for example are expected to be introduced in the next two updates. If you are a PC player and don't know if your system can run F1 2021 well enough, please refer to our thorough benchmark of the game.
