Citizen releases new colorful EcoDrive watch featuring Mickey Mouse

Citizen has released the new Sorcerer Mickey's 100th Anniversary Macy's Parade watch in the US. Also known as the AW1696-03W, the timepiece’s design is inspired by the famous Thanksgiving Day Parade and the wizarding Disney persona.

The Citizen AW1696-03W’s dial has a dark blue background, with original artwork from John and Shelley Loter, both Disney artists. There are gold colored accents like star-shaped markers, hands and the outer dial ring, matching the watch’s crown. The model has a silver tone stainless steel casing, measuring 40 mm (~1.6 inches) wide, and the case back is engraved with a unique edition number.

Citizen’s AW1696-03W also features a scratch resistant sapphire crystal and comes with a black leather strap. The dial features three hands, as well as a basic date display. Plus, its J810 Eco-Drive movement can be powered by any indoor or outdoor light source. It is also worth noting that the model is water resistant to 5 bar.

You can now buy the Citizen Sorcerer Mickey's 100th Anniversary Macy's Parade AW1696-03W watch in the US for $395. Only 500 pieces have been made, and these are available exclusively at Macy’s and at Citizen’s online store.
