The Leapmotor B01 electric sedan is now available for pre-order, with a starting price of RMB 105,800 ($14,700) and a driving range of up to 650 km (CLTC estimates) as the brand seeks to undercut rivals in pricing.
The B01 is available in five trim levels. The first three trims can travel 550 km between charges and cost RMB 105,800, RMB 115,800, and RMB 125,800. The most expensive trims start at RMB 125,800 and RMB 135,800, with a driving range of 650 km.
In comparison, the Xpeng Mona M03 starts at RMB 129,800 ($18,040) with a driving range of 502 km.
Leapmotor claims the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery (56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh) can charge from 30 to 80 percent in 18 minutes.
In terms of performance, the B01 can be configured as a single- or double-motor model, capable of outputting up to 292 kW. The fastest trim can zoom from a standstill to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds.
Leapmotor is ambitiously targeting 40,000 monthly sales for the B01, which it targets at the entry-price segment of the market. The carmaker delivered more than 45,000 units in May 2025, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 800,000 in June. Leapmotor is aiming for over half a million deliveries by the end of the year.
Leapmotor exports electric cars to other parts of the world. While tariff disputes might prevent it from selling in the US, the company has established a presence in Europe, where it offers the C10 SUV and compact TO3.
