Casio has officially unveiled its CRW-002 ring watches, transforming the familiar A168 digital wristwatch into a miniature timepiece worn on the finger. The two new models are scheduled for release in November 2026, with a Japanese online sales lottery that opened on November 2.

The silver CRW-002D-1AJR is priced at ¥19,800, while the gold-coloured CRW-002G-9AJR costs ¥22,000, including Japanese consumption tax. Both recreate the A168's distinctive rectangular display, dial markings and bracelet styling on a much smaller scale.

The collection follows Casio's original CRW-001 ring watch, introduced in December 2024. Unlike a conventional smart ring, these are miniature digital watches, offering traditional timekeeping functions rather than health-tracking sensors.

Casio's miniature A168 has a stopwatch and LED light

Despite measuring just 25.2 × 18.2 × 6.2 mm and weighing 15 g, each watch offers dual time, a 1/100-second stopwatch with a 60-minute measuring capacity, an automatic calendar and a white LED backlight.

There is also a Time Flash function, which briefly activates a light at the top of each hour or at a preset time.

The watches have a stated accuracy of ±30 seconds per month and an estimated two-year battery life. Casio says the battery can be replaced, while the stainless-steel construction provides water resistance suitable for everyday use.

The ring has a nominal Japanese size of 22, corresponding to a 20 mm internal diameter. Included spacers reduce the effective diameter to 19 mm or 18 mm, accommodating Japanese ring sizes 19 and 16.

Casio uses metal injection moulding to reproduce the A168's case and bracelet details. The gold model also features an ion-plated finish.

Casio ring watch lottery opens November 2

Casio's Japanese online store opened lottery applications on November 2 at 10:00 a.m. JST, with entries closing on November 6 at noon.

Results are scheduled to be announced on the evening of November 12 through applicants' Casio accounts. Successful applicants will also receive an email notification.

A Casio ID is required, and applicants may enter once for each model. The lottery is restricted to residents of Japan, and Casio does not accept international shipping or deliveries to forwarding services.

The lottery is not conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, meaning customers do not gain an advantage by applying immediately.

Casio's official listings confirm a November 2026 release without specifying an exact date, although Japanese retailers TiCTAC and Time Station NEO have listed November 13 as the scheduled release date. For now, there's also no word on whether the silver and gold models will be available in the UK or US, or how they might be sold there.

The collection's official debut follows earlier reports of an A168-inspired successor to the original Casio ring watch. With prices and lottery arrangements now confirmed, Japanese buyers have their first opportunity to enter for one. For everyone else, the appeal is easy to see: a familiar retro Casio design, shrunk to finger size, with a working digital watch tucked inside.
