Casio’s Edifice EFRS108DE-8AV is now discounted to US$135 from US$180, with only five units left as of writing. The slim 7.8 mm stainless-steel watch comes with sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, and a textured dial.

Casio’s Edifice line often sits in a quiet (yet established) corner of the brand’s catalog, but every now and then, a model pops up with a great mix of design, price, and practicality. The EFRS108DE-8AV is one of those cases, and it’s currently listed at $135, down from its regular $180, which is interesting considering the lineup was introduced only a few months ago. The discount brings a slim stainless-steel watch into impulse-buy territory, and the listing shows only five units remaining.

The watch itself is a straightforward three-hand analog model with a 7.8 mm case thickness - relatively thinner than most Edifice pieces - and a compact 44.8 × 39.9 mm footprint. It has the familiar octagonal bezel that Edifice uses across several models, but tones it down with a clean steel finish and a textured dial that gives the watch a bit of character without going overboard.

Casio lists the build as fully stainless steel, with a one-touch three-fold clasp, which is about as easy as it gets for daily wear. The watch also offers 100-meter water resistance, a sapphire crystal, and battery life rated at around three years on a standard SR916SW cell. Accuracy is quoted at ±20 seconds per month, which is pretty typical for a quartz model at this price.

The discount pushes the EFRS108DE-8AV into a space where it competes with simpler fashion watches, but the specs here - sapphire glass, steel construction, slimmer profile - make it a way more grounded option. It’s just a basic, comfortable, everyday watch with a dial that's a little more "out there" than the usual plain silver or black. It looks like a short-term clearance rather than a long-term price drop. Two other colored dials in the same lineup - blue and green - are already out of stock.

If you’ve wanted something compact and metal from the Edifice series, this might be the right moment to grab one before these last few units disappear. You can check out the product page here.
