Capcom has officially announced its full product exhibition strategy for the Gamescom 2026 convention in Cologne, Germany. Operating from August 26 to August 30, the publisher will anchor its presence in Hall 9 with a 950-square-meter booth. The installation will house roughly 60 playable demo stations, giving attendees a chance to test upcoming software entries alongside updated launch dates for major franchises.

Public playable debuts for upcoming expansions and sequels

The centerpieces of the physical show floor focus on two projects making their world-first playable debuts.

Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

Attendees can get early access to Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the first major expansion to the 2024 action role-playing title. Scheduled to drop on October 9, 2026, the expansion introduces extensive new narrative arcs and targeted adjustments based on original player feedback. Ahead of this launch,

Capcom is permanently delisting several controversial paid shortcut microtransactions from digital storefronts, shifting the focus entirely to the items that remain fully earnable through the standard in-game loop. The release will launch across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and as a native package for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Mega Man: Dual Override

Joining the expansion is Mega Man: Dual Override, representing the twelfth mainline entry in the classic action platformer brand. This project serves as a milestone for the franchise, offering fans their first direct look at the mechanical design ahead of its broader launch window in 2027. The software will target a cross-generation footprint across modern and legacy systems.

Release dates locked for classic revivals and fighting titles

The remaining demo stations will highlight the immediate software lineup for the autumn.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword takes a prominent spot on the floor roughly four weeks before its official retail deployment. Set in an alternate early Edo period Kyoto overrun by demonic forces, the single-player action title is locked for a multiplatform arrival on September 25, 2026.

Street Fighter 6

Street Fighter 6 rounds out the playable booth configuration. Rather than showcasing unreleased content, the fighting game will serve as the hub for competitive esports tournaments and ongoing community challenges. Capcom plans to stream daily interactive programming directly from the show floor in partnership with European broadcast groups to cover the unfolding competitive matches.

In addition to the titles above, following its own blockbuster reveal at Summer Game Fest, the highly anticipated Resident Evil Veronica Remake has been revealed with new details.
