MSI, a premier manufacturer of gaming notebooks and PC components, has been made a CES 2017 Innovation Awards honoree for the GS63VR Stealth Pro and the VR One backpack PC.

With the rising popularity of virtual reality gaming, companies like MSI have been pushing innovation in gaming notebooks. MSI has been recognized for their work in mobile gaming development by the CES 2017 Innovation Awards, being made an honoree for the GS63VR Stealth Pro gaming notebook and VR One backpack PC.

MSI announced the VR One backpack PC back in September of this year. The device, which is equipped with an Intel i7-6820HK processor and either an Nvidia GTX 1060 or 1070 graphics card, is now available for pre-order and is expected to begin shipping on November 30th. The GS63VR, one of the first thin and light VR-ready gaming notebooks, was released back in August. The device made a serious splash upon release and continues to remain popular with gamers.

Andy Tung, president of MSI Pan America, said, “The VR One and GS63VR Stealth Pro [usher] the future of VR gaming by delivering superb performance in a truly mobile way, whether you prefer immersing yourself on a desk or completely untethering from wires. These prestigious awards confirm to our commitment to the gaming industry and we are honored to receive this acknowledgment.”
