Budget-friendly 27-inch 260 Hz Philips Evnia gaming monitor hits shelves with minimal design

Philips has introduced a brand new Evnia-branded gaming monitor in the UK, priced at just £139 or roughly $188. The affordable monitor features a healthy set of features, and is already available for purchase from Amazon UK.
As can be expected from its category, the monitor is equipped with a Fast IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. At 27-inches, 1080p is definitely not ideal for text clarity or productivity workloads, but should not be a challenge for most gaming and content consumption workloads.
Evnia 3000: Super-fast IPS gaming monitor for cheap
Speaking of gaming, the Evnia gaming monitor peaks at a whopping 260 Hz refresh rate, which is definitely commendable at this price point. Gamers who obsess over speed above anything else will, therefore, be quite pleased with the 27M2N3291PL/01.

According to Philips, the Evnia gaming monitor sports an impressive ~92% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and a whopping 116% of the sRGB gamut. The monitor peaks out at 300 nits of brightness, which is typical for its class.
Of course, OLED panels will put the Evnia's IPS panel to shame any day of the week when it comes to contrast performance, but the former is almost impossible to expect at this price.
Other notable features of the Philips Evnia gaming monitor include response times of 1 ms GtG and 0.3 ms MPRT, -5/20-degree tilt adjustment, low-blue light mode for eye health, and 85% construction from recycled plastics.
The I/O on offer is acceptable for the price, and has been detailed below:
- HDMI 2.0
- DisplayPort 1.4
- Audio out (3.5 mm)
Philips does like to brings its products to the US and other international markets, making this particular Evnia 300 monitor's global debut quite likely. For now, it appears that the Evnia 27M2N3291PL gaming monitor is only available in the UK.
Folks in the US who happen to be on a budget can check out something like the Odyssey G5 gaming monitor, currently available for just $141 on Amazon.
