Bud Light, the most popular brand of beer in the United States, is releasing a one-of-a-kind gaming console. The BL6 packs six games and an HD projector into a six-pack carrying tray. The console includes two wireless controllers and also has holsters for cans that can keep beverages cold.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are off to hot starts their first few weeks on the market, and with good reason. The new consoles represent the latest and greatest in living room gaming tech. But can they keep your beer cold while you play?

Bud Light, the most popular brand of beer in the United States, is selling a “limited edition” game console built into a six-pack carrying tray. Dubbed the “BL6,” the new console is described as “½ koozie, ½ projector, and ½ gaming console,” according to Bud Light’s website.

While the exact specifications are still unknown, Bud Light advertises the BL6 with 16 GB of memory (likely meaning storage, not RAM) and a built-in 720p 500-lumen projector. There seems to be a built-in speaker as well, as hinted by the volume control buttons along the bottom-front of the device.

The console is portable with a battery that lasts two hours, according to the manufacturer. The device also has compartments for two wireless controllers and two cans of beer. The beer can holsters have thermoelectric peltiers and polystyrene foam to keep the beverages cool.

There are also two USB ports, an HDMI port, and a DC input on the back of the console.

Keeping true to its six-pack form factor, the BL6 includes six built-in games: Tekken 7; Soulcalibur VI; R.B.I. Baseball 20; Broforce; and two exclusives, Flashlight Freeze Tag and Six Puck.

Bud Light is only selling one BL6 via an auction system. At press time, the bidding was up to US$1800 with 32 bids. The auction runs until November 20, 2020, at 9:19 AM. As this is a beer-themed product and the legal drinking age in the United States is 21, bidding is only open to those age 21 and older.
