The Baseus Blade ultra-slim power bank sports a capacity of 20,000 mAh and a peak output of 100 watts. While these specifications are far from a bragging right these days, the Baseus Blade outshines its competitors in one key area - portability. Thanks to an ongoing sale on Amazon, the Blade power bank is now available for all-time low price of just $52.99.
Effortlessly portable with decent performance
As mentioned, the Baseus Blade power bank is impressively compact, thanks to its 0.7-inch thick chassis that allows it to effortlessly slide into backpacks and laptop sleeves. It's overall footprint is unsurprisingly quite large, which is not an issue since the power bank mimics the form factor of a tablet. The power bank sports a total of four output ports, two of which are of the USB-A kind, and the rest are USB-C. Both the USB-C ports can output the advertised 100-watts, whereas the USB-A ports are limited to a serviceable 30 watts only.
When all of the four ports are in use, the combined output is limited to a paltry 30 watts. On the other hand, when two or more ports are used at the same time, the power output changes, and the details have been specified in the images below. ZDNet's review details that the 100-watt claimed output is quite hard to achieve, with their test device reaching a maximum of 88 watts. Apart from that, the Baseus Blade power bank does not seem to have any other downsides.
Considering the device's portability prowess, the relatively mediocre 20,000-mAh capacity can certainly be looked past. That said, the Baseus Blade power bank is more than capable of charging up smartphones and tablets multiple times, and can greatly increase a laptop's runtime when on the go. For people who prefer a slim form factor, the Baseus Blade, at its current price, undoubtedly offers commendable value.
