Balatro continues to have more collabs in the form of more deck customization in the 4th "Friend's of Jimbo" update. There's another 8 new deck customizations added this time, from Indie hits like Dead by Daylight to AAA titles like Assassin's Creed.Sasha (Tristan) Mathews 👁 Published 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 ...
Only a year after Balatro's release, developer LocalThunk is still updating the game with even more collabs from AAA games and indies alike. The latest update for Balatro comes in the form of Friends of Jimbo 4, with LocalThunk adding another 8 collabs onto this update.
As usual, these collabs come in the form of deck customization, with each suit in your deck getting another 2 options for customization, we'll start off with Spades:
Like most of the suits you'll see on this list, the spades feature one popular triple A game and one popular indie. Assassin's Creed showcases Ezio and other character's from the beloved franchise. The other collab comes courtesy of Black Tabby Games, maker of Slay the Princess. Next up is the major outlier from this list: Hearts.
As with all suits, we have an indie collab, but in the place of a triple A title, we have a collab with Critical Role, a D&D tabletop show that's been ever-growing in popularity. Alongside this is indie game Bugsnax from developer Young Horses. The next suit is Clubs with arguably one of the heaviest hitters in terms of collaboration from this update:
The two collabs featured on Club cards this update were heavy hitting. Popular multiplayer horror Dead by Daylight showcases multiple villains from the game on its card faces. Meanwhile, the Fallout collab shows its iconic Vault Boy alongside a couple other fresh faces. Last on this list comes in the form of a collab released not two weeks from the time of this update, showcased on the Diamonds:
Sid Meier's Civilization VII makes an appearance in this collab, recently released February 11th. Alongside this comes the last collaboration in the form of Rust, a survival indie game developed by Facepunch Studios. Balatro's latest update also included inclusion into Xbox Game Pass. Players can look forward to more from LocalThunk as the long awaited content update comes later this year, and for those looking to buy a physical edition, there's one on Amazon that includes 10 Balatro cards as a special thanks.
