B12 Power: Mini PC with 16-core Intel CPU and 24 GB of RAM goes on sale

Bmax is definitely not as well known in the mini PC segment as competitors such as Minsiforum or Beelink, but the brand does have a notable presence. We have even reviewed some of their offerings in the past, and have been mostly satisfied with their products, with a few exceptions.
The brand has recently unveiled the MaxMini B12 Power, featuring a powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU with a 16-core setup. In synthetic benchmarks, the 3-year old Meteor Lake-H CPU should be able to keep up with modern mid-range chips, such as the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 and Intel Core Ultra 5 338H.
The MaxMini B12 Power mini PC sports a healthy amount of RAM, good I/O
The mini PC also comes equipped with 24 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, which is a healthy amount for most demanding workloads, but is not upgradeable down the road. Thankfully, the 1 TB M.2 SSD is easily upgradeable, courtesy of the system's M.2 2280 slot.

Discrete GPU options are nowhere to be found, and the mini PC relies solely on the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU's 8-core Arc iGPU. Performance is decent, and roughly at the same level as an AMD Radeon 890M and around 10% behind an Nvidia GTX 1650 Mobile GPU. A decent array of ports are on offer, detailed below:
- Dual USB 3.2 Type-A, dual USB 2.0 Type-A
- HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1
- USB Type-C with DisplayPort, Power Delivery (unspecified)
- 2.5G Ethernet
- WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2
- 3.5 mm audio jack
Measuring in at 126 x 112 x 52 mm or roughly 4.9 x 4.4 x 2 inches, the Bmax MaxMini mini PC tips the scales at around 390 grams or roughly or 0.86 lbs. VESA mounting support is also present.
Pricing and availability
Priced at just under $1,000, the Bmax MaxMini B12 Power mini PC is definitely not cheap, which isn't surprising given its admirable specs. Customers can buy the product directly from Bmax, or wait for availability on Amazon.
Folks who oddly rather go for a cheaper system with more RAM can checkout the GMKtec M6 Ultra, currently available for $680 on Amazon.
