Austrian Audio has released The Arranger over-ear headphones designed for audiophiles and studio professionals. They offer accurate sound and transient reproduction, with low distortion and a wide soundstage. The company was started in 2017 by ex-AKG Acoustics engineers following that company's closure.
The Arranger utilizes 44 mm drivers with DLC-coated diaphragms, with a frequency response of 5 Hz to 30 kHz and a THD under 0.1%. The open-back headphones have an impedance of 25Ω and a sensitivity of 110 dBspl/V, enabling compatibility with lower-powered audio sources.
The headphones come with a 3 meter (9.8 ft.) 3.5 mm (1/8-inch) cable and a 3.5 mm-to-6.3 mm adapter (1/8-inch to 1/4-inch). Optional balanced Pentaconn or 5-pin XLR cables are available for connection to professional audio equipment.
The body is metal and the earpads are covered in soft suede, with a weight of 320 g (11.3 oz.) and a size of 200 x 175 x 85 mm (7.9 x 6.9 x 3.3 in.). All major components are replaceable for a long lifespan.
The Arranger headphones have an MSRP of $1,099 and are available from authorized distributors. The company's other headphones are available in the Austrian Audio store on Amazon.
