The Aura Displays Single Flex Pro (Gen 1) is a new portable monitor from the company, and it features a foldable AMOLED display. It sports a 13.3-inch screen size, comes with a brightness rating of 300 nits, and has a launch price of $1,299.

Aura Displays has launched a new portable monitor, the Single Flex Pro (Gen 1), and the main highlight is the foldable AMOLED display. It measures 13.3 inches when unfolded, and when folded, it turns into a travel-friendly screen that can be easily set up on a flat surface.

Of course, there's a big downside: the portable monitor doesn't feature a built-in kickstand. So, for a comfortable setup with the Single Flex Pro (Gen 1), users would need to carry the stand alongside the display, which can make it seem less convenient compared to the regular portable monitors with built-in stands (such as ARZOPA 16" 2.5K monitor that's curr. $124.99 on Amazon).

Getting back to the AMOLED display, Aura Displays highlights that it has a brightness rating of 300 nits, and with a contrast of 50000:1, the screen can show pure whites and dark blacks. The color output should also be good, as the panel has a 117% NTSC coverage.

However, the portable monitor has a 60Hz refresh rate, and the resolution is 1536x2048 pixels, which is tagged as FHD+. For the price, a QHD resolution with at least a 120Hz refresh rate would make the Single Flex Pro more attractive.

The good part is that it has PD support, meaning only one USB-C cable is enough to get the portable monitor powered up and show a display at the same time. Speaking of which, there are two USB-C, one mini HDMI, and one USB 3.0 Type-A port. Such a port configuration makes it compatible with a wide range of devices.

As for the build quality, the Single Flex Pro (Gen 1) is said to have "pro-grade" hinges, and the aluminum design is touted to make it both light and durable. For those interested, it measures 0.3 inches when closed and weighs 1.57lbs.

Price-wise, Aura Displays currently lists the Single Flex Pro (Gen 1) at $1,299, which is discounted from the regular retail price of $1,499. The portable monitor is expected to be available from June 2026. Check out the video attached below to see it in action.
